WW2 Soviet Defence of Kiev and Capture of Berlin medal group the Defence of Kiev was established 21st June 1961in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the German invasion of Russia and is the only Defence medal established after 1945 the obverse reads for the Defence of Kiev with the figures of a Soldier, Sailor, Partisan and a Woman behind is the building of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukraine Soviet Socialist Republic this is the variation 1 and is the proper original variation the back reads for our soviet Motherland
The Capture of Berlin Medal the obverse reads the Capture of Berlin and on the reverse the date 2nd May 1945 both medals mounted on a suspension bar
