WW2 USA Army Air Corps Pacific theatre group of 7 awards containing a named Army Long Service award to a Robert F Newton the group was purchased 10 years ago in a family estate sale in the US all the medals came as seen preliminary research shows a Robert F Newton in the US Army during the period the group consists of;
WW2 Distinguished Flying Cross mounted on a period slot brooch in a so called coffin style presentation box with ribbon bar and button hole ribbon bar, awarded for heroism or extraordinary achievement whilst participating in aerial flight instituted 1926
WW2 Soldiers Medal mounted on a period slot brooch this is a heavy early issue medal awarded for heroism not involving actual conflict with an armed enemy of the United states instituted 1926
WW2 Bronze Star mounted on a period slot brooch complete with its coffin style presentation case with ribbon bar and lapel button hole ribbon bar, awarded for heroic or meritorious achievement or service not involving participation in aerial flight instituted 1944
WW2 Air Medal mounted on a period slot brooch with its coffin style presentation case with ribbon bar awarded for heroic actions or meritorious service whilst in aerial flight instituted 1942
WW2 Named Army Good Conduct Medal on a period slot brooch to Robert F Newton awarded for exemplary conduct, efficiency and fidelity for three years active service with the US Army (1 year during wartime) instituted 1941
